We hope to continue to support and enhance the skills and progression of our staff through our Training Academy, whilst adding new layers of quality for our clients, safe in the knowledge that they are appointing the leading Building Control provider in England and Wales.

A bit about Stroma Building Control

Stroma Building Control is one of the largest corporate Construction Industry Council (CICAIR) Approved Inspectors in England and Wales, our Building Control Surveyors and industry professionals work on a wide-array of diverse and interesting projects throughout the construction industry. Training Academy

Our Training Academy is open to anyone; whether you’re a new graduate or an experience Building Control Surveyor. The two-year programme helps you achieve full CABE Chartership.

• Structure learning pathway, including training, one-to-one mentoring and regular CPD
• Work with experience Building Control Surveyors and Senior Management
• We’ll pay for up to two-year chartership subscriptions every year

Building Control Degree

New for 2019. A BA Hons Building Control degree in partnership with the University of Estate Management (UCEM).

Project: A major development on the banks of the River Aire, comprising 1,050 new homes, high-quality commercial properties, as well as complementary facilities including leisure and retail, transport and schools.

Location: Kirkstall Forge, Leeds

Project: Vista is the second of the exemplar Carbon Challenge sites delivered by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA); a zero-carbon housing development, including 295 affordable homes in Peterborough. Stroma provided a range of services, including SAP Calculations, to help the client deliver zero-carbon homes.

Location: Vista, Peterborough

Project: A regeneration scheme for Hounslow Street Quarter, including 527 residential units and commercial space. Working with the client during construction, Stroma was appointed for site inspections and pre-handover testing for final certification.
